Linx GaiaLast update: 11th January 2019
Named after the Greek Goddess of the Earth, the Linx Gaia is a health-conscious portable vaporizer produced by the LA-based manufacturer Linx. At the time of its release in 2017, the Linx Gaia was one of the unique vaporizers around. It utilizes a hybrid of both convection and conduction heating while featuring a built-in battery that lasts for up to 2 hours of continuous usage.
On paper and in your hand, the Linx Gaia stands apart from the crowd. The design is engineered to provide the purest vapor possible, especially with the dual convection/conduction method to heat your herbs – means that your material is heated by contact with the heating chamber as well as by the hot air is blown over it when you inhale. As a result, it gives the vape an incredibly fast heat-up time, mixed with perfectly even heating. The Gaia can reach the desired temperature within 20 seconds and requires minimal stirring. Within this compact vaporizer lies many potentials. It features all of the most popular hits, like full temperature control, a large battery, a unique and powerful heating chamber, and a removable glass mouthpiece. The Gaia accomplishes all of this while fitting into the palm of your hand. Not only that, but Linx guarantees it packs one heck of a punch.
Built Like a Cadillac
The Gaia manufactured with quality construction as its guiding principle. Isolation is the most important factor for Gaia. The vapor you pull from this device is never going to touch any of the electronic components. This kind of isolation keeps the harmful chemicals found in electronics out of your lungs, a welcome feature. It also features a removable (thus easy to clean) glass mouthpiece that you’ll find to be well made and comfortable in your mouth. Using high-quality materials is the Linx trademark, and that extends all the way down into the chamber. This device also features a magnetic cap and stirring tool, making sure the Gaia has a long life and that your herbs are heated evenly. Again, Linx was able to give the end-user all of this while still keeping the footprint small enough to be carried in a front pocket.
All Quartz Chamber
Earlier I mentioned that the Gaia is one of the unique vaporizers on the market, now you get to find out why. If you’ve owned a vape pen, you might have had one that used a quartz chamber or coil to heat your wax/concentrates. However, quartz had never used for the chamber of a dry herb vaporizer. No one is sure why, especially after using the all quartz chamber of the Linx Gaia. More of the flavor is preserved using this chamber than almost any other material, certainly more than other steel and ceramic chambers that are more common. Plus, it’s a total breeze to clean. It is a somewhat smaller chamber, but it can hold up to 0.25 grams of material that is ground finely and packed into the chamber tightly This is usually more than enough for a full session, especially considering the legendary potency and efficiency of the Linx Gaia.
Big Battery, Big value
No matter how great your heating chamber is, you won’t have a chance to use it if your battery is dead. The battery life for the Gaia is top-notch, keeping your device running for up to 2 hours of use. It will get you through about 4-5 sessions and, considering the capacity of the Gaia, and the battery is capable of vaporizing a full gram of material before you have to recharge. Of course, Gaia uses a micro-USB charging system, meaning you won’t have to go back in time to charge this vaporizer through an A/C adapter plugged into the wall. They even include an adapter for a Lighting Cable plug used in the modern day Apple products. The battery itself is a 2200mAh rechargeable, sure to satisfy all of the needs of the economic Linx Gaia. Plus, you can choose individual degrees in a range of 93°C to 220°C from the OLED display and hit that vapor sweet-spot with ease.
Linx carries itself like a company from Silicon Valley (I mean, they included a Lightning Cable adapter) but it is a bit further south in Los Angeles. Linx has had success before with its Hypnos Zero, but the Gaia has been wowing critics everywhere. This device is truly one that needs to be held to understand the appeal fully. It is obvious that appearance is a huge factor for Linx and if you like your devices to stand out, this is a great company to follow. It’s not just a shallow design either, the Gaia is made and manufactured to the highest standard and is an absolute pleasure to use.

What’s in the Box
- 1x Linx Gaia
- 1x Mouthpiece Cap (Magnetic)
- 1x Stirring Tool
- 1x Cleaning Brush
- 1x Micro-USB Charger with Lightning Adapter
The Linx Gaia is not the only portable vaporizer to come out in recent months with the explicit goal of looking like something Apple cooked up, but it may be the best. Suffice to say that the Silicon Valley strategy of procuring strangely beautiful materials to build innovative products is alive and well in the vaporizer world. They’ve combined this design philosophy with innovative features, like the quartz heating chamber, to create a stand-out device. Linx is a new entry into the industry, but considering the success of the Hypnos Zero, it’s hard to imagine this group going away anytime soon. Go ahead and become an early Linx adopter, it looks like they have a bright future.
